Q: How do Sub-StraightzzTM jigsaw puzzles differ from Puzzle Clonzz® A: Sub-StraightzzTM (.050") brand jigsaw puzzles are five times heavier (thicker), than their Puzzle Clonzz® (.010") brand counterparts, which are basically the thickness of a normal business card. PC ‘s are solid white, ink jet compatible jigsaw puzzles, sporting high quality brightness properties, throughout. SS chipboard jigsaw puzzles are lined/mounted/glued, both top and bottom, with, high brightness white, ink-jet compatible paper. Q: Can both sides of Sub-StraightzzTM jigsaw puzzles be imprinted"? A: Both jigsaw puzzle brands can be imprinted on both sides, thereby encouraging the creation and implementation of dual sided puzzle projects. What’s our motto? "Digitized before your eyes!TM" Q: Why is the frame (in most instances) surrounding the puzzle, .75" from the top, .75" from both sides and 1.25" from the bottom? A: Since most printers will not allow for imprinting on the first .5" from all edges, we made our Sub-StraightzzTM user friendly. Our .75" borders provide additional clearance on all edges for the user to print a true "bleed", where appropriate. A "bleed" functions as a waste area, permitting one to actually print a photo off all four sides of the puzzle, so as not to see any white edges in the finished puzzle product, once disengaged from the frame. Q: What other function does the frame provide? A: The bottom edge of both Puzzle Clonzz® and Sub-StraightzzTM puzzles measures 1.25". This waste area may appear to be unnecessarily wide, if not deep . . . however, that border edge protects the integrity of the final rows of pixels, actually laid down by the printer. Any attempt to print beyond the bottom of a sheet, would destroy the appearance of that entire sheet (by providing lines of crooked type and/or misaligned pixels) . . . due to "slippage", a phenomenon evidenced by a printer’s inability to continually control the feed, and ejection, of the sheet during the printing function. You can evidence this by attempting to print off the bottom of an 8.5" x 11" letter-sized sheet, using an 8.5" x 14" legal-sized paper setting. That very same 1.25" "selvage edge" permits a printer to readily control and direct every puzzle, since the ejection rollers remain in full contact with the traversing board, as the last droplet of ink is sprayed during the ink affixing process. Q: What happens to the frame when the puzzle is ready to be dismantled? A: Gently remove the frame border and dispose of it properly. It no longer serves any purpose, once the puzzles are printed and/or "melded", but keep the three "melding pins" for the next job. Q: Where can I obtain precut paper waste? A: The insert cardboards that come in "ream-wrapped" carbonless sets is excellent to recycle for this purpose, while doing what is also fashionable for the environment at the same time. Salvage ALL spoiled puzzles and set-up sheets from other completed jobs. If necessary, place them comfortably in your safe (with your valuable coin and/or stamp collection(s), gems, gold jewelry and other collectibles) . . . so as to provide for future jigsaw puzzle printer set-up. Q: Should I order extra puzzles for every job? A: Absolutely! . . . and . . . for what purpose? (a) to insure sufficient yield as per your job specs, (b) to provide for a source of actual completed job samples to flash ‘round, (c) to control waste, and most importantly . . . (d) so Compoz-A-Puzzle Inc. and Entremanure Enterprises Inc. can make enough money to continue the expansion of their product offerings. Maybe even a trip to Costa Rica. (My mama didn’t raise no dummy, ya know, unless . . . of course . . . you consider my brother.) Q: Can Puzzle Clonzz® jigsaw puzzles be imprinted under one’s own roof? A: Puzzle Clonzz® jigsaw puzzles are a "stand alone" product, available for use with any modern inkjet apparatus, for imprinting . . . "Top feeders" . . . no problem! Q: What 'bout Sub-StraightzzTM jigsaw puzzles? Can they be imprinted under one’s own roof, too? A: Sub-StraightzzTM jigsaw puzzles, too, are a "stand alone" product, available for use with "straight through paths" and/or 'flatbed" printers accepting varying thickness digital media for imprinting. Q: Can children successfully assemble Sub-StraightzzTM jigsaw puzzles? A: How does the invention of Sub-StraightzzTM benefit computer aficionados? Sub-StraightzzTM afford an appropriate thickness, in and of themselves, to give a child the feeling of an interlocking sensation, when they place one interlock into its corresponding/adjacent piece . . . thereby aiding in the development of their motor coordination and manual dexterity skills/abilities. Q: How does one imprint on "Compoz'z Combozz"? A: You don't! Imprinting is done on a THIN computer printable jigsaw Puzzle Clonzz® (. . . but must be "Sub-StraightzzTM" compatible) . . . these are the puzzles with three holes in their outer frames . . . Compoz'z CombozzTM are identically configured and can permanently adhere to one another through a gluing application. Q: So, how does our newly developed "frame-hole melding system" work.? A: Three randomly placed quarter-inch (.25") diameter holes are punched into every frame . . . one hole in the feed end of the puzzle, during the printing process, and two holes in the trailing end of the puzzle, once imprinted. Accompanying the puzzles are three quarter-inch (.25") metal pins upon which the "Sub-Straightzz" jigsaw puzzle must be placed (impaled). Once positioned, brush, spray or rub a glue adhesive onto the "Sub-StraightzzTM" surface, including the frame. Then, place the Puzzle Clonzz® puzzle onto the pins, one puzzle onto the top of the other. Press the puzzles together and completely flatten the surface . . . then wait for them to dry (a function of the adhesive administered) before disassembling the pieces. Your puzzle is hence, ready to use. Q: What does it mean to be a Compoz'z CombozzTM jigsaw puzzle "joiner"? A: Implementation of our newly developed, and strategically placed, "frame-hole melding system" assures perfect piece alignment and puzzle registration, during the melding process, of the jigsaw puzzle of one brand to the jigsaw puzzle of the other brand, . . . that's right . . . perfect alignment at absolutely every instance. You formulated the concept . . . you laid down the ink . . . and then you melded the components. "Joining" is the art of "melding" the PC and SS jigsaw puzzle brands together, consequently defining the nature of the Compoz'z CombozzTM (CC) brand of product! That makes you a JOINER! Q: What if I want to make an even thicker jigsaw puzzle . . . melding a Puzzle Clonzz® onto a Sub-StraightzzTM? A: You can’t print on a Compoz'z CombozzTM. Imprinting is done on the LIGHTER WEIGHT version of a computer printable jigsaw Puzzle Clonzz® (. . . but if "melding" is the goal, the PC must be a Sub-StraightzzTM compatible version) . . . All CC component jigsaw puzzles, PC’s and SS’s, are identically configured . . . as are the three identically punched registration holes, found in their outer frames. No sense hiding it any longer, but . . . Compoz'z CombozzTM provide for a seemless and foolproof intergration (How’s that again? . . . Stated simply . . . you can look forward to a perfect piece alignment in absolutely every case. ) . . . so much so, that the "base" of the PC will adhere to the "surface" of its SS counterpart, throughout the entire "melding" application.
